THE TRADITIONS OF A NEW ENGLAND JEWISH GIRL DURING THE HOLIDAYS
Maybe you love The Holidays. Maybe you dread them. Maybe it’s a mixed bag of complicated hopes, dreams and fears. Whether the coming weeks bring you Chinese food and a movie or all things anise and peppermint or maybe business as usual, things come up. Uncertainty fills the air at home and abroad and I don’t know about you, but it’s a bit harder to feel any version of happy, hopeful, restful warmth this year. And I think that’s okay. While the deep white snowy Decembers of my growing up in Boston have melted away, a few things stay the same.

A lot. I don’t mean anything profound. I mean, I have three costumes to alter, paperwork to complete, phone calls to be made, laundry to wash.
Today, Saturday November 12th 2016, makes this day 4 in our reality where the stale cheeto fucktard is posed to take Washington come January.

You’ve seen the pleas — on cable access hearing, legislative floors, momentary news coverage — patients fighting for their lives and the medication to ease suffering. In theory, we believe that no one should have to endure cancer, ALS, seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons or any other disease that causes undue pain and suffering.
